I purchased a male and female genicanthius ( swallowtail angelfish) from divers den a couple of weeks ago. Have them both in Qt ( but separated unfortunately since they were fighting ) Anyway, after about a week I noticed what I believe to be ich on the male . So far , nothing on the female, but they are sharing a tank so... I also noticed what possibly looks like maybe a bacterial infection on the males tail.
After a failed effort to get quality CP, I decided to slowly ( over 6 days ) dose cupramine monitored with a Hannah checker to 0.5ppm. The fish are acting completely normally, eating well and aside from the obvious white spots , look well. So they have been at 0.5 for 4 full days now and I don’t see any disappearance of the white spots . Inwas wondering how long it takes after the therapeutic dose of copper should I start seeing visible positive results . I do realize that I need to keep the copper therapeutic for 30 days . Thanks in advanc
