which to use? What is easier on fish?
Copper power or cupramine?

General consensus from reading in this forum is Chelated (copper power) is easier on fish than Ionic (cupramine) copper...I've used mainly cupramine and have success with it. I recently switched over to copper power and lost a couple of fishes (might be due to disease then the copper itself)...

I recently used Copper Power, using the Hanna high range Copper Checker to test. It is a great combination. Also, I followed HotRocks dosage instructions, and it was spot on. You need to bring it up to therapeutic level over 4-5 days if possible.

It depends on the type of fish you plan on using it with, though I'd say in general chelated copper (Copper Power/Coppersafe) is accepted better by most fish. Here's a wonderful chart by @melypr1985 outlining treatment options for most fish
