Hello,

I was going to post on the thread regarding cupramine not working as it's not the first time I've read this, it's also what Iam using. I started to think about alternative products available here in the U.K. As most I can find contain malachite green.

I could buy copper sulphate in a blue powder form to allow me to make my own but I'm not sure on the dosage if I done this? But is anyone awhere of any other products in the U.K. like coppersafe?

Could the issues regarding cupramine not working most likely be down to user error? I really don't want to have to catch all my fish again from my DT as it's worse than going fallow :)

I've personally never had cupramine not work. There are stories of it though. I believe a lot of it has to do with user error though, as you said. I don't use cupramine any more (I use chelated copper like Coppersafe) because it's a little more harsh and less fish will tolerate it as well as they will the chelated copper.

I swear I've had issues with cupramine not working -- but I've also found it to be safer at higher concentrations than the bottle recommends -- .55 or so is where I kept it for my fish. This fixed the problem for me.
