Hi fish tank friends. Need some advice please. I’ve been dealing with ich for a few weeks now. I’ve already lost a few fish unfortunately. I still have a maroon clown and a purple firefish goby and a watchman goby in the tank. The ich has not effected them at all from what I can tell. My question is should I treat the tank with copper or just let the ich die off on its own. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a quarantine tank, if not can you acquire one? You never want to treat with copper in your main tank as any corals and inverts will not tolerate copper and die off. And even if you dont have any corals at the moment, the copper can soak into your rock and leach out over time. Your best bet would be to get a quarantine tank and treat all fish, showing symptoms or not, with copper, and let your display tank go fishless for 78 days. This will kill off the ich parasite as it no longer has any fish to latch onto. Give these threads a good read through

@2tank
Crabs is right, you need to treat in an QT tank.
