Hello, Can I add new fish on my QT with .25ppm copper before i put them on the DT?

I'm not certain I fully understand your question. What's the time frame your are thinking of having them in QT before going to the DT? Are the new fish showing signs of sickness or are you wanting to treat prophylactically? Yes you can add fish to a QT that is pre-dosed with copper, however you will want to bring the copper up to therapeutic levels after a couple days and keep it there for 30 days. If you leave it at .25 then you risk masking parasites that could end up showing themselves once the fish is in the DT. Also make sure you have the corresponding test kit for coppersafe, which is API copper.

Oh and welcome to R2R!

I don't understand the question either. You can add fish to your empty QT, then treat with copper (at proper therapeutic levels) for 30 days, then introduce to the display. That would be perfectly fine, though a 2 week observation period is best after the copper.

Sorry I was not clear. but you already answered it. My question is. Can I add new fish on my QT with copper? Thank you for the reply
