So I’m a little confused about what I have been reading. From what I understand, NOTHING that has gone into my QT tank (with copper treatment) can ever be used in my DT. Not my net, not the turkey baster I used to feed. Not the pipettes I use to collect water, nothing right?

But when I put the fish from my QT into my DT certainly there will be some of the water still on the fish right? How come that doesn’t wipe out all the inverts? Do I really have to go buy double all of that stuff?
Thank you

The reason for having separate equipment for the QT is more about cross contamination of parasites than the copper. If there is ich or velvet in the QT an you use the net in the QT then the DT chances are high for introducing that parasite to the display and defeats the purpose of QT in the first place.
