I purchased a Hanna Checker for Cu in my QT system. I just read that results may not be accurate in saltwater in a reply by Hanna in an old thread on fish disease. I've seen multiple videos on YouTube of people using the Hanna Low Range Copper Checker - I bought one and have been using it - but now I'm concerned after reading that reply. The description on BRS's website did not mention that the checker may not work accurately in saltwater.

I'm wondering if any further testing has been done on this matter. Should I continue to use the Hanna checker for [Cu+4] or should I really be using something else?

For copper-treating fish, such as in quarantine, for disease, etc., you want the Hanna High Range tester -- HI702. The unit is orange in color. Best wishes.
