Copper treating New Fish with sick fish

Can I copper treat a new arrival with a sick fish I have in the DT I currently and using qt tank as a hospital tank and was wondering if I can treat the new arrival with the current fish being treated I started the treatment after ordering the fish and didn't anticipate having to do this but it happened and now I'm curious if I can treat them together

It might be too stressful on the new fish to add into the QT if the cooper is already at therapeutic levels.

If you must add fish to a tank with copper in it, restart your 30 day clock of therapeutic (daily tested) copper levels.

It's recommended that you don't do that, however. Stress and the inability to slowly increase copper for your new addition are just a few reasons.
