Ok, I've got copper lines in my house and have been doing the water changes for my 30 reef tank getting it ready , my snails and such died and I'm pretty sure that's what caused it, now my question is after I get my ro/di and replace the water will the copper still be in the rocks and sand ? Will I need to start all over with new?

They had plenty to eat, they lived five days and both died the same night

Never use tap water without a ro/di there are too many bad things in that water. Have you checked your ammonia level? There are products that can remove copper if you are sure the cause. I would check your water chemistry first i really don't think you can get too much copper in your tank from the pipes.

It very well could have killed them, usually it's pretty quick when it happens though. Once introduced it should still be in the system.

I've got am ro/di on its way, as soon as I get it I'm going to switch the water, I think it has alot to do with the little problems I've been having , can't wait to get it lined out , that's for sure
