Should I be testing copper levels in my FOWLR tank and if yes why???im pretty new to the hobbie and any advice will be great..

Copper is typically only used as a medication. And most don't recommend using in a dt because it can leach into the tank silicone and rock work. It's typically used in at quarantine system.

No need to test in a FOWLR, if your not dosing it, its going to be in very small quantities and the fish can more than handle it in those levels.

+1

only real problem is with delicate corals (SPS types).

Plus a refugium with fast growing marco algeas will suck out the copper which is then exported by harvesting the macro algaes.

Plus as I understand it the hobby type copper test kits do not measure low enough values for coral damage.
