Copperband acting strange after levamisole treatment

I added a rabbitfish to my DT and after I noticed it has worms\flukes so I added levamisole to the tank. 36 hours after the dosing and the copperband isn't its old self anymore he looks like hes on crack staring into the abyss. 4 of my other fish are fine. The copperband was healthy as a rock before the treatment, actively swimming and eating. Now it doesn't eat and feels like his brain got reset like the first day i got him, 2 months ago. Doesn't respond to the food I put in.

12-14 hours after the levamisole dosing I did a 20% waterchange and using carbon in media cup and reactor. Any ideas?

What was your levamisole dose? It is usually well tolerated but I have seen bad reactions in flashlight fish.

I dosed 10,4 ml into 70 gallon. The copperband is looking a tad better now but still not eating. Hopefully its back to its old self tomorrow.

Oh, sorry, I meant mg/l of active ingredient, if you used a proprietary product, they usually don’t tell you that.... a typical dose is 10 mg/l levamisole as a prolonged bath.

Copperbands brain got reset to day 1 i have to use trickeries again for it to eat when it used to eat out of the water column. But yeah at least its eating and doing alot better now, heavy breathing gone.

Maybe it knows I poisoned it and doesnt trust my food :>

I wont be adding meds to DT again, copperband is my favourite fish. Foxface cured of worms too it had very long white string poo and was heavy breathing before the treatment. Levamisole works more effective than prazipro in my short reefing experience so far and only takes 1 dose, seems easier too.

I saw a little dead bristleworm being swayed around by the currents heh, didnt know I had one.
