I noticed these marks show up on my copperband about 2 days ago. It seems to be getting worse. He is acting fine and picking at rocks as usual. Can anyone help identify this. If so what’s the best treatment? TIA

It’s hard to see much in those pics. Is there any redness? It looks like an injury almost.

Either way if there is an infection present you would want to move the fish to a QT and treat with antibiotics. Nitrofuracin Green is my go to for bacterial infections. The trifecta (kanaplex + metroplex + Furan-2) is also generally effective at treating bacterial infections as it covers a wide spectrum of infections when used in combination.

I did see some redness on one of its side but it was a very small area. I went ahead and dosed the tank with metroplex and furan-2. Within 30 minutes of dosing he was on his side breathing very fast. Right before dosing he was sitting near the top of the tank but still swimming around. Any clue as to what happened??
