Copperband dying

I’ve had this guy for 10 days now in Qt. First 3 days I just observed him and got it eating some live brine shrimp soaked in selcon, garlic, entice. On day 4 i freshwater dipped and 2 flukes came off so I did a WC and added prazipro pro. I haven’t seen him eat since. He looked kinda weak last night and this morning he is really week. Not breathing that heavy but a little more than normal maybe, it’s hard to tell. He was scratching before the FW dip and only seen him scratch once since. He’s also darker this morning that before. I think he’s on his way out.
Any ideas.?

I just did a 25% WC and threw in some carbon. I plan on leaving it for the day and then taking out the carbon and doing a second round of prazipro. I have 3 other fish in the Qt also. Royal gamma, court jester gobie and a hog fish. Everyone is peaceful towards eachother.

Have you tested ammonia in the QT?

hes definitely about to die, he's literally been laying in a dead flow spot for 20 minutes now....what a bummer copperbands are one of my favorite fish. maybe ill try one from the divers den next or from a lfs where i can see it eat first.

If he's laying on the bottom like that I doubt he'll make it.

As a side note... When dosing Prazipro, be sure to wait 5-7 days in-between the first & second round.

for sure first treatment was 1/20 at 10am so today is day 5.

I like Copperbands a lot too. I’m on my second one. This one is doing real good so far. I’ve had it for a while now. They sure are hard to get to eat.
