I recently added a copperband to my tank. This is an established fish, been in a friends tank for a while. I did not QT.

It has been a week now since adding and it paces the back glass nearly non stop.

It stops to eat, and eats well (frozen food)..

It also stops or does it less when I turn off the room lights.. lights in tank on and no lights in house on (after dark)..

Be patient? Or signs of stress or what? Thanks for your help.

What size tank is it in, and what did it come from?

It came from an 80 shallow.. now in a 180

Possibly it's just super stoked on having better and proper swim space, I've seen lots of fish just jamming back and forth for a while for that very reason, excited exploration. That would be my guess sight unseen.

It eats well, and seems completely healthy with no signs of stress other than pacing.. no fish messes with it.. and when the lights go off in the room the pacing stops almost as soon as I hit the switch

Seeing his reflection?
