Hello all!

I got a copperband butterfly fish in this past sunday. In a 40b cycled qurrantine by himself. He was eating frozen at the fish store. Brought him home let him rest for a couple days, eating like a pig frozen up till today. Started raising copper (chelleted, copper power) two days ago slowly, .25 rise per day. Have not checked levels but should be at .5 right. Ow (usually bring it up to 2.0).

Checked on him after work today and hes developed a fairly bad red spot/rash on both sides and doesn't want to eat. Acting werid.

Any ideas ?

Thanks in advance guys !!

Parameter update-

1.025
Ammonia badge- 0
Temp - 80
Copper (hanna) - 0.89 (must have been some copper left in system)

Those redish areas on Copperbands are not good. Treatment with antibiotics are needed ASAP for the fish to survive. NFG powder in a QT is the best course of action. Time is not on your side. It needs treatment quickly.

I have general cure, do I have to remove the .89 copper before I can dose the tank with GC?

Sorry but General Cure will not help.
