Copperband sick

I've had my copper band for months eating frozen food and would eat dry krill from time to time so overall healthy. I took a look at him today and saw this, it wasn't like this the night before

Sorry but your fish is very sick. Once those red sores show on a CBB the prognosis is not good. The med I'd recommend to treat that is NFG powder, but it needs it now. And even then the odds are poor.

Yea he didn't make it. Do you know what type of Disease that is what what can cause it?

It's a gram negative bacterial infection that spreads both into the body and the fish's blood. CBBs are prone to this illness. The red sores looks similar to Uronema but it's not.

While bacterial infections can spread from fish to fish, it's unlikely. They should be fine.
