Copperband

I made a feeding tube for the Copperband.

The problem I have now is the cleaner shrimp eating the Copperbands food.

You could maybe try to suction cup the feeder to the side of the glass to keep it out of reach from the shrimp.

If you had to choose steak or a slim Jim which would you take

Same with the copperband he'd rather take worms and shrimp over gross stinging aiptasia at least that's my preference if I was a copperband

Give it time he may not have noticed it, once he settles he may give it a snag

Thanks for the suggestion.
I'm going out of the country for a while and I'll try it when I get back.

Might not work though. The cleaner shrimp get anywhere they want. The 3 I have, even 'swim' to the surface to try to get food when I'm feeding the fish.

Appreciate any and all suggestions.

Thanks.

I have one in my 140 that is about 9 years old. It is an aggressive feeder, even with a Blue Jaw Trigger in the tank. I mix mysis, brine, squid and soak it overnight in SelCon & marine vitamins. He has never touched pellets. Swims right past them. He also constantly patrols the tank looking for pods and aiptasia. I haven't seen a single aiptasia in my display since he has been in there. I have them in my overflows and sump though. He is fat and happy and I don't believe he has ever nipped at anything in the tank - except feather dusters. He does like those.

Thanks for the info.

My Copperband seems rather shy, but I've only had it for about 2 weeks.

I'm on travel for about 2 weeks, but when I get home I very well may try what you're feeding yours.

Thanks for the suggestion.

All suggestions and info are greatly appreciated.
