Thanks for the suggestion.You could maybe try to suction cup the feeder to the side of the glass to keep it out of reach from the shrimp.
Thanks for the info.I have one in my 140 that is about 9 years old. It is an aggressive feeder, even with a Blue Jaw Trigger in the tank. I mix mysis, brine, squid and soak it overnight in SelCon & marine vitamins. He has never touched pellets. Swims right past them. He also constantly patrols the tank looking for pods and aiptasia. I haven't seen a single aiptasia in my display since he has been in there. I have them in my overflows and sump though. He is fat and happy and I don't believe he has ever nipped at anything in the tank - except feather dusters. He does like those.
