Coppersafe and Velvet

Hello everyone, I am reading a lot of conflicting answers to this question. I am currently running coppersafe in my display tank. It is fish and rock only. It is 360 gallon. I have been maintaining 1.5 to 2.0 levels of copper safe as recommended by their website. (Hanna checker daily) It has been in there for coming up on two months this weekend. All my fish look great and have not had any outbreaks in over a month. My question is is how long do I have to leave the coppersafe in there for?. I see some people say the tank has to say fallow/empty for 76 days but this is being treated with copper. And impossible to do in my size tank. Some people say 5 to 7 days with copper treatment. So what is it? It was confirmed Velvet with scrapings.

I believe therapeutic level for coppersafe is 2.0. If it has been below that is no bueno and you need to start over again.

Time period for ich treatment with copper is a minimum of 30 days at therapeutic level.

I would normally agree with you. However this is straight from their website . Also it has been two months and no outbreak

If you have met the therapeutic dose and maintained it for at least 30 days then you are good to go!
