Coppersafe coper doesn't register on test kit

Perhaps try dosing into a smaller volume, measuring, then adding that to the tank?
Ex; If the goal is 1.5-2.0 and you have a 10gal, then dose into 1gal until you read 15-20. When you add that to the other 9gal, you'll have the target.

So i did a similar test. Measured half a gallon and tested after adding copper aid. It took 20 x the recommended dosage before my copper test registered 1.0. So i would need 30x to get to therapeutic levels. Not sure what to do. My fish looks better. No more obvious spots but still hiding. I know i need to treat as this is part of the lifecycle. Pic is attached. Spots are air bubblers/ floaters not on the fish (stirred up changing water)

I too have read 100 times it's 1.5-2ppm with chelated.

What's weird is the website says .15-.20 PPM total copper??

Your test kit starts at .25PPM

Under the theory, copper safe has changed and now employs a different nomenclature or concentration; so your dose was ok, it's just that your test kit isn't detailed enough for you to see the proper level?

@Humblefish got anything?

Its 1.5 - 2.0 ppm for Coppersafe, the formula hasn't changed. Fritz just doesn't have the sharpest employees. :p

Ok sorry I haven't been to helpful, but I will offer something that has worked for me in the past. Seachem Cupramine with the seachem test kit. A little difficult to read the test kit but it does work, and it's matched to the product, so at least you know how much is in the tank.
