So I cant find Coppersafe anywhere. Its out of stock on DFS. Checked Amazon, marine depot, etc. Was there a world wide ick epedemic or something?

Anyways is Copper Power essentially the same thing? Right now my QT has a level of .75. Can I use Copper Power to get it to 2.0 or are they not compatible?

If i have .75 of coppersafe in my qt can i use copper power to make up tje difference?

Interesting coppersafe not available... Hmmmm....

I would recommend a 100% WC dosing the new water with copper power level to match. I also would not mix.
Probably because people finally found out how horrendous Mardel/Fritz quality control is.

Yes, copper power is a much better product and much more consistent in concentration IMO

So I have been trying to get the coppersafe out of the water. I have two poly pads and 2 cuprisorb packs and cant get the level below .18. Its a 75 gallon and I have 6 fish in there. Trying real hard not to dump 100% of the water. Really want to avoid having a tank cycle but have to treat ick on the fish.

That's pretty low. Probably as low as you are going to get it rapidly. If they were my fish, I'd start ramping up, slowly, very slowly with Copper Power. Copper Power's dosage rate is pretty good if you are measuring it with very accurate syringes, etc.

In the past my LFS carried Coppersafe and the owner had even recommended it to me over cupramine as she felt it was less toxic in her experience. Of course I found Hotrocks’ thread a week after I bought a bottle. >:( I stopped in yesterday and was going to tell them about the issues with variable concentrations and saw that they no longer had Coppersafe but now had Copper Power
Interesting indeed....

For the OP, how are you testing? I’d use a Hanna checker and slowly ramp up...

It is not available anywhere...

Recall maybe? Very interesting.
