Just installed a Cor 15 on my RedSea 425. Have it running at 100%.
I was just reading on reef2reef a thread on first impressions of cor 15.
His showed double the wattage! At about the same rpm and temp.
What’s a realistic value? Maybe power usage improved on newer releases?

I noticed similar behavior on the Cor20 I'm using. I think it is related to head pressure.

Thanks, I’m running 3/4” Silicone hose, maybe 5’ head from sump bottom to top of tank. The vectra M1 it replaced showed 60w on its outlet on the eb832. Same plumbing, just unscrewed the mount off the vectra and onto the Cor.

Head pressure and line size, for sure has a relation to it imo. Do you have a flow meter going back to the tank?

Example is you can at 100 percent. Or run at 80 percent and have same flow, but less wattage. I just used I I.Q feature and set it based on where I noticed a GPH decrease. Will make the pump not work as hard, and last longer. Might be something to think about

I ran the iq feature on setup. No flow meter.
