I have been contemplating getting the apex cor 15 pump to replace my sicce 3.0, since I have the green tubing on my rsr 170, what fittings would I need to connect it and would it be overkill for the tank? Anyone with same tank use one? Thanks!

Anyone?
Just a thought: pretty specific question as your asking for someone else who has essentially an identical setup. You’d get more responses and help if you posted a picture of your current pump and plumbing to show how it’s connected. I have a cor but can’t help since I don’t have that tank. I possibly could with a pic though.
Sorry for late reply, I have a sicce 3.0 pump right now, this green flex tubing is what the return hooks to.

Thank you!It kind of looks like clear tubing with some algae growing on it.
So my guess is on the bottom of your tank, you have a barbed fitting like this:

This is what that tube presses on to and then it goes into your tank.
Then on the other end you have a connection to the pump. I can’t be for sure, but from the looks of it, that tube is 1” diameter.
The COR 15 comes with several fittings for the output. My recommendation is to use the recommend 1.25” union. So then you just need need the 1.25” slip to 1” (or whatever that tube size is) barbed fitting. Something like this:

Again, I don’t have your tank so I am not 100% on sizes but that is the basic setup for the plumbing.
Thank you!The Sicce 3.0 has a stepped barb fitting. The first part of the barb is 3/4” with the wider part of the fitting being 1”. Is the green tubing only on the 3/4” part of the barb? If so you will need to glue a 3/4” barb spigot fitting to the corresponding size coupler that comes with the COR 15. If it’s 1” then get a 1” barb spigot fitting.
