75g saltwater with ich issue

I would like to reduce any free floating parasites , can I get away with the 3x Coralife uv light with 9watt bulb ?

low livestock plan . Maybe 4-5 fish, 1 tang

what cheap/ reliable pump size can I get from petco/pet smart for this uv light ?

Which parasite?.
Marine Ich, no it wont work unless connected inline with each other where it may with low enough flow.

Maybe. It indicates it's rated for up to 125 gallons saltwater, but the documentation is almost non-existent - so I have no idea idea how much radiation it puts out at what flow rate.
Believe it’ll help with the ich issue ?

A UV does not treat a sick fish. To do that you need to treat with Copper in a separate hospital tank.

A UV can help keep the parasite in its free swimming stage under control to reduce (but not eliminate) the possibility of infection.

A 9W unit will not provide enough UV exposure for ICH.

You need something like a 40W pentair to have measurable success.

No, you don't need a 40-watt UV - especially if this is a small tank. Many people have great success with 8, 9, 15 and 25-watt UVs. It all depends on the radiation exposure and flow rate. Again, I couldn't find the tech specs for the CoraLife unit.

The AquaUV Advantage 2000 8-watt model will sterilize ich at a flow rate of 214 Gph and is rated for up to 70 gallons.

It's a 75 gal.

Pentair themselves do not claim even a 25W will work in that size tank.

UVs work if you're actually using them. If you wait for an outbreak before adding one it kind of defeats the purpose. Will the 9w UV the OP is looking at help? Maybe. The tech specs are seemingly non-existent, however.

Will it solve the OP's ich problem with the fish? Probably not. They'll most likely need some form of treatment in conjunction with the UV. Again, there are too many unknowns to speculate, ie: how long has the outbreak been going on, how many fish are infected, etc.

Not trying to solve a fish with ich, trying to be proactive to decrease any future chance :)

I have opened two of those coral life uv units and found the inside to be covered in rust on the reflective sheet that is inside the body.

I'll never let another one touch my tanks again.

I understand.

The point I was making is that Pentair do claim Ich prevention with a 40W, but make no such claim with a 25W.

Of course retailers will say whatever it take to make a sale, even if they know it probably won't work.

I installed a 40W on my 90gal after an ich outbreak, and even though the parasite is probably still in the tank, there are insufficient free swimmers cause an outbreak even with sensitive fish over 2 years. It runs 120 gph 24/7.

Okay so those rust too , haha I’m good, that’s the reason I wanted to avoid other uv lights
