Can't figure out this Gorgonian what SP is there, and is it photosynthetic one or need to be fed often ?
And also, what kind of coral is the one which cover the plug around? When it's happy it come out polyps almost like from the Gorgonian, but it don't look like Gorgonian, and it's a bit stony..

Sorry about the photos, but I took them, when I done 30% water change in the QT tank, because of that it hide the polyps and it's a bit out of the water. At the moment it's fine, and the polyps stay out almost all of the time.

I couldn’t be anywhere near sure but it looks like the bottom mounded part could be different to the branching parts above. And the bottom mounded part looks similar to an alveo or a goni when retracted. Branching parts look a bit like a soft coral. If you can get a pic with the polyps opened, someone else here might have an idea

It's Gorgonian, but there are many, and some are similar with different names and needs. I'll try to post today new photo, it stay all the time with the polips out, the bottom one showed to me the polyps only 2-3 times yet for 2 weeks.
So it's Gorgonian, but what exactly, probably need the polyps photo.

Here is the Gorgonian with all the polyps, if that can help some one to let me know what's the exact name of this Gorgonian..., I'll appreciate it.

If still can't see it properly, probably I'll be able to get better macro photo on it.

Still can't make a photo of the coral polyps which is on the base, to can find info about it, isn't leather it's hard on touching if that help, and the polyps was looking similar to the Gorgonian polyps, but I was unable to see them under the macro yet :(

Thank you Mates

These are the polyps. Can’t count the tentacles in the polyps as yet as they haven’t fully extended but I’m sticking by it being a Goni or alveo

It looks like a type of candelabra gorgonian to me. Looks similar to the one I have - I've had it for about 3 years now. it grows but never really looks happy with life.

*edit* Here is a picture of mine from 2 years ago.

Too many tentacles for goni...leaning toward galexea

Goniopora have 24 tentacles, Alveopora have 12 (that's the main difference between them), but the base structure don't look like the Goniopora like, that sharp. From other side it look similar to the Galaxea, but I'm not read enough about, Have to find how many tentacles are there.
For all this 3 corals Goniopora, Alveopora and Galaxea, how strong light they need moderate to high or lower ?
Also it look too similar and to Favia (my searches of similar corals)

Moderate light and medium flow.
Thank you @KJ , 1st have to go rid of the diatoms and the algae on the base (to clean the plug), to be able to place the Gorgonian on proper place...
But it appear the polyps on the base coral go out under bright light now.. (I'm changing the light brightness to can get better macro photo of it).
Hopefully will find the proper light to get proper photo, to can show you and some one to be able to recognise which exactly it is.
