Coral acclimation

I have a pico tank and the light I am using can only be turned on and off by unplugging it. So I was wondering if I would be able to acclimate corals by putting enough sheets of paper to have no light reach the tank and then slowly tank the sheets away

I seriously wonder if your leds are that powerful. A lot of small tanks sold in the trade these days have fairly mediocre leds.

You don't need to go to "no light" just try and cut it in half. Given there is no dimmer, I suspect the leds aren't that strong you really need to worry about them.

What kind of corals are you going to be acclimating?

I use layers of window screen for that. Still lets some light through that way
