Sorry for the double post; I asked this question in the beginner forum but didn't get much response so I am hoping someone can help me.
I have just received my first delivery of corals. I was going to dip them on arrival and put them straight into my display tank, but the guidance from the retailer was to leave them 24 hours or so, before dipping, to allow them to recover from the shipping shock.
I had a spare unused tank that I was going to set up as a fish QT, so I have been running that for the past week or so and my corals are now in that. The only problem is that I now have to go away with work for the weekend and it doesn't have a proper marine light.
I have three options, leave them in there until monday with no light, balance the hood from my fluval Evo over the small QT for a few days or leave them a few hours and dip/move them later tonight.
Ideally I would leave them in the QT until I get back. How long will they be ok without marine light? If I use my Fluval Evo LED how long should I leave it on for?
The corals are a few Zoas, 2 Ricordea Floridas and one small torch (that I wasn't going to get yet but was a bargain too good to refuse).
Thanks,
