Not any emergency at all. So I have a 15 gallon nano reef with 2 clowns and 2 cleaner shrimps. The tank is doing really well and most of the coral is doing good- all but the zoas. Thee zoas over the past week have been acting strangely. They look healthy but are not opening. I thought it might be the flow so I tried turning thee powerhead off- didn't help. I thought I should change the intensity of the light (Kessil A180)- didn't work. I spot feed my . coral and add poly booster before hand- still won't open. At times they all open and other times only a couple are open. Just looking for advice on what to do next.

Salt:1.025
PH: 7.8
Nitrate: 20 ppm (yes I know it's high but zoas like dirty water so was seeing if that helped- hasn't so far)
Amonia: 0
Temperature: 78
Calcium: 320 ppm
KH: 35.8

Heres a pic from yesterday:

Do you do any sort of dosing supplement? You can try 2 Part Bionic and Raise to desired levels...

Also do your live stock run over them a lot?

Hi Luke,
Doing by hand is fine. Just elevate your numbers so your alk and calcium are stable and in range for good coral growth.

Have you tested your phosphates? Sorry I did not see the number if you have posted.

Water changes, testing and 2 part dosing if indicated should correct those numbers. Shoot for values of NSW.

go slow cal450 dkh 10,mag100 imo don;t shock go slow, check ph same time every day
