So this is probably a extremely dumb question and a simple answer. My plan once my tank is done cycling is to have fish and some softies in my tank because they seem to be easiest to keep for a beginner which I am. What should go into the tank first once the tank is cycled the fish or the softies.

As long as the tank is fully done cycling, you could add either first. However, I always added fish first. If there was a nutrient bloom and bacteria bloom from the introduction of fish, you will have time to solve it or let it simmer down (let the bacteria adjust) before you put corals in. Softies are pretty hardy though, so I’d say it’s your choice.

Fish- Clowns, firefish goby, blenny and small wrasses
Coral: kenyi tree, candy cane or trumpet, zoa and leather
