i bought some small live rock pieces to place around my large pieces of live rock and this thing was on a piece. I'm not sure if it's some type of cup coral or a type of anemone or maybe algae. Anyways it has doubled its size in the last couple of weeks. It's about the size of a pencil eraser as far as width goes.

It has "cloned?" itself and now I have two itty bitty ones growing right next to it. It closes up like my polyps do if touched or bothered. I can't find a pic of this anywhere.

if it looks like the picture below it's Majano Anemones

I think the post is refering to the red. To blurry to tell.

Is that geode in the rock? Interresting looking rock.
It is geode. It was a chunk sitting at the bottom of the live rock tank at the lfs and it looked super neat and for only 3.00 it came with these guys on it.

Very cool rock. And you can clearly see they are strawberry or ball anemones.

Looking at pics of both I'm almost certain it's a strawberry anemone. Are they harmful bc all together I have about 5 of these all very tiny at the moment. i noticed this morning the biggest one I have (in photo) is splitting in two.

They can sting and annoy corals most hobbiest would get rid of them ASAP

I may need to make a new thread for this one but can you possibly ID these? They were also a HH...
