Hi all. I am pretty new to the hobby. I am a few months in and have just added a few cheap test corals into my tank (70 gallon)

One of the plugs was knocked off the rocks by one of my snails.

What is the best way to attach the coral to keep that from happening?
Someone told me if it is not doing well to try a different spot of the tank with different light / flow. If you secure can you move it or should you wait till you see how it is doing before securing it.

i have zoanthid corals. Also any recommendations on good learning corals would be appreciated!

Thanks for helping me get going!

Super glue plus a quick squirt of Insta-Set and spray it with some fresh (or salt) water to rinse off the extra. Plop it in your tank and no worries.

I have found super glue GEL to work the best for me. Regular super glue was too runny

There are a lot of great videos on mounting corals but I’ve found the sandwich method works best for me. Basically its a bit of superglue on the plug or frag, and then you mount a small piece of epoxy onto the plug/frag with the glue. Then a bit of glue on the epoxy and place the frag where you want on your rockwork.

Not to state the obvious but I always break off the ”plug” part of the frag when mounting. If I can, I’ll also remove the coral from the plug entirely.
