Coral Banded Shrimp and Fireworms

I was under the understanding they were one in the same.. Just different names.. I'm not sure of a solution for you then. If you're ok risking losing your other shrimp than CB is probably the way to go. Just what's more important.. Them being eliminated vs risking your other shrimp.. Do you have a temporary home for your other shrimp while he works? Although it may take a long time.. Might sell your other shrimp and go for a CB? They are cool ;) just psycho

Bristleworms are the beneficial ones. They are smaller and usually have 1/2 of their body darker with the other half being reddish.

Fireworms have very sharp bristles and are completely red. They will sometimes annoy corals so much that they won't open up. I've also heard of some stories where fireworms were inside a Euphyllia.

If you have a sandbed, I use a Tupperware sandwich container with a small hole in the lid. Put a piece of shrimp in it and bury it in the sand over night.

It will be kind of hard to do that because their is very little sand bed Space that is open. It is either taken up by corals or caulerpa

take the rock out and dip them one by one ,

Maybe a smaller container you can wedge in between the rocks, empty prescription bottle maybe? With a hole in the lid, basically a small pit trap.

Oh okay. Yeah I think i could do that. Just need to find some.

What type of food should I use as bait?

Think about it ...its just rocks . you may redo your aquascape and like it better in the end . your making it much more difficult personally especially when it's a 10 gallon

Piece of shrimp or whatever you feed your fish, they'll smell it.

Haven't caught any fireworms yet. I have only seen the fireworm twice and both times it was on the rock not in the sand bed.

I was using fish pellets in the prescription bottle. I'll try putting in some mysis or rod's.
