Coral Banded Shrimp grabbing fish?

So I just added a Coral Branded Shrimp to my tank yesterday and today I saw that it was trying to grab all fish who swam by it and also successfully grabbed my tang! It’s a pretty big shrimp but didn’t think it would grab a fish bigger than it. My tank didn’t seem to be affected by it grabbing it and continues to swim by it like it doesn’t care. Is the shrimp being aggressive or did it grab the tang to clean it? I’m not sure what to think of it.

I had a fairly large coral banded shrimp for a while and he never went after any of my fish (I even had several larger fish co-existing with him in a cave without incident). On the other hand, I hear that once they reach a certain size they can become a real a**hat. It sounds like you may have snagged a particularly aggressive one, so I'd keep an eye on it in the event you need to rehome it.

Well he claimed the under of a bridge as its territory and just hangs out upside down but my tang and bi colored angel love to go under there. So I’m guessing it’s just being territorial but still would never have thought it would grab my tang like what the heck?! Lol

I think it's second nature. Mine spent most of his time upside down.
