Coral beauty acting strange

My coral beauty has ich and I am doing the tank transfer method with 5 gallon buckets along with my puffer. However, when I go over to check on the, the angel is out the top of the water, sometimes sticking is head out barley, and sometimes splashing at me really quick. Is this just from the stress?

Yes with a air stone. The puffer is fine and is super calm. This is day one of the ttm by the way
