Hi Everyone,

I just bought a coral beauty on Wednesday and it is now Saturday. It finally came out of the cave that it as been hiding in. I know they are extremely shy fish, but was curious if anybody has any suggestions? Since it has come out I have seen some white growths starting on it as well as it is a very weak swimmer. It keeps getting stuck in the Filter as well as the two propellers in the tank. I did shut one off. Does anyone have suggestions?

Is your fish still alive? This would have been best posted in the disease and diagnosis section here: https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/fish-disease-treatment-and-diagnosis.771/

If it is alive and not eating well, try live blackworms. They seem to be the go-to for picky eaters. They wriggle like crazy so the feeding response is usually good. There are many threads there as well that you can compare to and see what may be wrong with it.

Check here for comparison photos and future reference:
