What do you guys think? Just rubbed up on the wrong rock or something more? There is no aggression in the tank that I have ever seen and he is eating and acting fine. Anything I should do or just let it heal?

Its bacterial. Quarantine fish and treat with Maracyn 2 or Kanaplex and add oxygen during treatment. A 90 bath with ruby Rally reef will also help. It may have started with injury but now has secondary bacterial infection.

How long have you had the fish? If less than a month or so, I would be worried that this is Uronema, an internal protozoan infection. Uronema can happen later, but it is most common in newly acquired fish. In many cases, there is a concurrent bacterial infection. Uronema is an internal disease and by the time it breaks through the fish’s skin, it can’t be treated.

That would tend to rule out Uronema. I would treat as a bacterial infection as @vetteguy53081 said.

I also think that it's a bacterial disease, the reddish tone in the wound makes me think that, treat the fish and closely monitor the ammonia levels, also feed it between 6-8 times a day in small portions so that it stays strong and the fish he will recover soon, good luck.
