Coral Beauty getting sick in QT

Another update. Dosed tank again for another 24 hours worth of Furan-2 and Tetracycline as per instructions. The Coral Beauty seems to be on the road to recovery. More active than yesterday though still skittish and hiding a lot. Still not eating though. Lost the skin on his nose but I see no more peeling / sloughing. Video attached.

Wow I'm impressed he is still with us. You might try live black worms, live brine, and rubber banding a small piece of red and green nori to pvc or something. Soaking food in selcon and garlic cannot hurt as well.

Other than the notable nose you mention he looks to be doing far better than I would have imagined!

I've got some Selecon and Seachem Garlic on order with all the meds I ordered. It should all be here Wednesday. I've got a clip and some nori - but he's never been very interested in that, even when he was well.

Nori on a clip isn't very natural, many fish will start eating it rubber banded to a rock.

Ok. Another possible issue. It looks like his eyes are bulging. In doing research I see it may be that the bacterial infection has effected the eye with the build up of white blood cells giving him a case of "Popeye". All my meds came today so in addition to the Tetracycline and Furan-2 treatments he's getting I've added the Kanaplex. Attached is a photo. Hard to see. The meds have turned the water red but you can see that his left eye is definitely protruding out from the face. He's also kind of weaving / tipping side to side like having a hard time staying blanched. Any ideas@Humblefish, @melypr1985?

Just went back and looked at the previous video. Maybe they aren't bulging. I think I'm getting paranoid. But the Kanaplex won't hurt to be sure to kill off the infection.

Well, going as good as can be, I guess. Finished dosing with Furan-2, Tetracyline and Kanaplex. Have replaced the activated carbon filter to start cleaning the leftover meds and discoloration out of the water. The Coral Beauty seems better. Easy breathing. Swimming slowly around the tank - but still only a few inches off the bottom. I still can't get him to eat - but I make sure to leave a little floating in the water. It's usually gone by the next time I see him. I've got some garlic and Selcon now so will keep working with that. He wasn't very interested the first time using it. One step at a time.

My DT ends its 76 day fallow period on July 7. I want to be sure these guys are all stable and good before moving back into the DT.

Just been tagging along but I'm glad to see such an improvement. Especially seeing that first video compared to his condition now, tough little guy.

I'm sure he will keep getting better, keep up the great work!
