Unfortunately, this fish will likely not make it as there is a point known as distress and this fish is beyond that. I find it as a regret for both the fish and owner. The question here which may go unanswered is what caused this, and my wild guesss may be that the fish was either chased or startled and crashed into glass and got stunned and weak and eventually pulled in by power filter.
I assumed up til this morning it was swimming just fine and eating?
The last 24-48 hours, Did you notice stringy white poop. rapid breathing, loss of appetite or any twitching motions?
I ask about twitching as if it had flukes (another possibilty), the fish will tend to dart and eventually crash into an object. Most power filters do not have the power to pull in a fish unless the fish is that weak.

WHAT TYPE OF TEST KIT ARE YOU USING (hopefully not API )
** Finally- consider upgrading your filtration as a power filter will offer mechanical filtration but little to no Chemical filtration which is essential for water quality
