I recently bought a coral beauty from my LFS and put him and 2 Ocellaris clownfish straight into qt. I noticed quickly that the coral beauty has a few small white dots on him and he was trying to rub up against pvc pipe to get it off. He has still been eating normal. I was wondering if I would be able to use cupramine to remove the ich. I thought that dwarf angels were sensitive to copper. Would cupramine be alright to use or would another medication be best?

Hi there! Here is a great link that I think can help you out! The Angels are listed first.....

Im not sure about cupramine with them. I've seen them in copper power though. You could also do seachem focus+metroplex

Thank you! I have copper power so I'm gonna try it. If there is any stress I will do a large water change

Small regular doses over 5 days to reach therapeutic levels of 2.0 ppm are best. For example, a small dose in the morning, a dose in the afternoon, a dose in the evening, all spread out over 5 days will give you the opportunity to observe any copper sensitivity.

Consider adding a wide spectrum antibiotic to protect against a bacterial infection setting in during the copper treatment. Kanaplex would do nicely.

I just ran a coral beauty through a month of cupramine after it got ich. Made it through ok.
