Anyone keeping a coral beauty in there SPS tank, I have gotten lucky with a flame in the past. Considering putting an angel in the current tank. I know its a chance, but curious of success and failures as well as if anything is tied to there collection location. fiji / Indo etc

I have a coral beauty in my tank currently, and she doesn't bother any of my sps that i've noticed. I keep her pretty well fed though ;)

I have a Coral Beauty in my 55 gallon mixed reef tank, and she doesn't bother anything in mine as well. They can be hit or miss, but I've heard that of all the dwarf angels, they tend to be one of the safest.

There is nothing that you can do except for keeping them well fed. Nearly all of them pick, but do not really do enough damage to need to remove them. It seems that everybody who thinks that they have a dwarf angelfish that does not pick sees a difference if they ever do remove them. I would give it a shot if you love the fish... it will probably be OK.

I have both a Flame and Coral Beauty in my mixed reef tank. Never had a problem with either one of them. I do allow a mild amount of algae to grow on the rocks and glass though. They are very content to just pick at that.

Indeed, I feed the crap out of mine and he still destroys polyps on my sps I’m too lazy to yank him out

We kept coral beauty angels for years and never had an issue. Flame angel nipped here and there but not enough to be concerned. It's always a risk but it seems, IME, coral beauty's were the least to cause problems. Like mentioned above, a varied diet is a must.

I have a Flame and Coral Beauty in my 150. About the only change I noticed was polyp retraction on my Montipora spongodes. I run an dirty algae infested tank, which might help.

I have never seen my coral beauty pick on any of the corals. I have a mixed reef
