Coral 'Behavior'

For the past 2 days my frogspawn isn't opening up fully - nothing has changed, and the water parameters are nearly identical for the past month - this happened to one of my hammers a month ago, and one day it just decided to open up and look healthy again.

Makes me wonder whether corals have bad days, and minds of their own.......have any of you experienced the same thing with your corals?

I noticed even certain hours of the day my frogspawn will look grouchy, then 15 minutes later its opened up 100% looking great. I feel like they definitely do get into moods, or maybe someone in the tank bothers them and they shut down for a little while.
