So, I have a few frags in my tank, and I’ve seen my Lamark angel take a nibble out my candy cane coral, so I placed it in a breeders box and it’s fine currently. Woke up today and my monitpora digiata has been stripped of most it’s polyps I think? Has a few hints of green on it otherwise just looks white. Is a fish biting on it?
If so how smart would it be to just buy a large colony of stylophora or monitpora, is it more likely they pick on it as it’s a frag and wouldn’t touch it if it were a large piece. Or am I being optimistic?

And how big is your tank if you don't mind me asking? I'm not part of the tang police, but I'm more concerned about your angels.

Coral Beauties are known to pick on polyps, but any fish could do the same.

Prob any of the other angels, had to get rid of my flame bc it completely wiped out my Pocillopora, large rock island of GSP and most of zoas. :(

What other inhabitants do you have in your tank besides the angel?
Lamark angel flame angel coral beauty blue tang yellow tang clownfish chromis goby forefish

700L tank 5ft I haven’t seen any other fish bite a coral and I haven’t seen the Lamark angel bite anything else either so not sure who the culprit is

... I’ve been wondering what happened to my GSP there’s literally none of it left. It’s weird only the green coral have been picked at everything else is fine

I have a coral beauty and thought he was picking at coral because I’ve seen him do it then one morning my bubble gum digta was missing a big spot of polyps so I got up at 2am and found montipora eating nudis so I would check at night just to be safe

It is possible and coral beauty could also be a culprit.
Other causes would be:
Light too bright
Alk too high
Ph low
Too much water flow
High or low salinity

any angel fish is a risk for reef tank, some folks have no issue but they should be added w caution. Which is why I stay away from them
