Coral bleaching?

I noticed that this frag looks to have started bleaching itself. Everything else appears to be doing fine (Duncan, acans, toadstool). Anyone have any idea of what's going on and why?

Looks like it's already had some tissue loss. Without a lot more information of the species in question, current setup and maintenance and history of the frag's previous care and handling it's impossible to guess. Keep in mind research has shown significant differences in immune systems not at the species level but at the genotype level so even if you had multiple frags of the same species you could see very different responses to the same conditions.
 
As far as I can tell, all the corals in the pic are receding and not doing well. The white skeleton you see is simply newer recession. Post full parameters and maybe we can figure out what is going on.
 
@Cell most of the recession that I think you're seeing is from feeding a few minutes prior to the photos being taken. Everything else in the tank is showing new growth other than this one frag.
 
tissue is gone not bleached.
The small Blasto merletii next to it looks like it's struggling too. Very taught thin flesh.
Can't really tell much on the Acan.

It could be many different things but without any information on your water parameters, light, flow, nutrients etc it's pure speculation. Can you post photos of the other corals too? I am assuming these are recent additions. How recent?
 
Water parameters are as follows:
KH: 196.9ppm
Calcium: 440ppm
Phosphate: 0.25ppm
Nitrate: 0
Salinity 1.027

All of the frags in this tank were added in late July.

dKH is what again? Something between 7 and 9 would be good.
Phosphate measuring kit is which brand? Hanna ULR is the standard
Generally speaking, 0 nitrate is not enough. Unless you are feeding fish heavy and often. Are you?
Salinity is a tad high.
 
I would start by lowering phosphate and raising nitrate. 0 nitrate is bad. 1.027 salinity is a tick high. It's ok, but leaves you less wiggle room.

Converts to 11 dkh. Higher than I like, but he is probably using IO/RC or something.
 
I used the API master reef test kit. 1.027 was prior to it being topped off and is back at 1.026. Its quite possible that I am overfeeding as this is actually the smallest tank that I have and is my first saltwater tank. It's a 10g with 20lbs of live sand and about 15 pounds of live rock. I'm using an Aquaclear 20 with filter floss and chemi-pure blue. I used a Current USA marine light and below are is the schedule I've been using with the percentages.

The API kit is okay for nitrate measuring and it is showing 0 residual NO3. So it is fairly safe to say you aren't overfeeding just yet as I don't see any visible hair algae. Small systems are kinda tough as the slightest contaminant does not dilute out much.

If I had to speculate, the combination of high(ish) alkalinity and low/no nitrate is stressing the zoox causing the bleach. What fish do you have in there and what/how much are you feeding them?

11dkh and 0 nitrates could be part of the issue .
you’re essentially starving them .
the skeleton is trying to grow faster than the flesh has nutrients to feed
 
What salt are you using ?

In terms for nutrients …. If you plan on using the same salt with higher alk .
feed more ,
Heavy in , heavy out .
 
Any fluctuations recently ?

alkalinity seems a bit high , and like others mentioned you can probably raise your nitrates 2-5ppm
 
There's a few inverts (2 bumblebee snails, 2 trochus snails, a margherita snail), a small clownfish and a scooter blenny. I've been feeding a pinch of new life spectrum marine pellets and frozen baby brine shrimp. I've also been dosing trace minerals, calcium, and iodine at 0.5ml a day.
 
Are you testing for iodine or just blindly dosing?
 
There's a few inverts (2 bumblebee snails, 2 trochus snails, a margherita snail), a small clownfish and a scooter blenny. I've been feeding a pinch of new life spectrum marine pellets and frozen baby brine shrimp. I've also been dosing trace minerals, calcium, and iodine at 0.5ml a day.
Are you testing for the iodine ?
 
Blind dosing anything is a bad idea, I'd stop that immediately or start testing before continuing that regimen.
