Coral box DCA 1200 pump and RN-1 wave maker setup

Hello all.
I just purchased the coral box dca1200 pump and rn1 wave maker and need some help with placement and programming. Any and all help is appreciated!

So i just plugged in the wave maker and have the flow down to the min "1" and its on mode 2 which is pulse and it still seems to be very strong to the point that i think i may have killed the xania i had... it was stretched out and as soon at i turned it on, the xania was bent in half and now it looks like its stem twisted and the hands are struggling to open... it just seems to be a super high flow... any suggestions please!!!
