Hi Everybody!

I'm struggling with a pair of Coral Box Quiet Pump QPS-16s that I purchased used. I have one on each end of a, roughly 8' x 2' tank, with a divider in the middle (there are holes in the divider); so each one essentially each one is in a 4 x 2 section. The tank is about 16" deep. I have a sheet of egg crate about 8" up from the bottom.

I'm slowly populating the tank with frags, at first it seemed fine, I had it set to "F5, Fre:50, FL: 10". This seemed too strong for me. I turned it down, to "F5, Fre:50, FL: 1", no noticeable difference. Right now, I set them both to "F1, Fre:1, FL: 1" and it seems okay, but just okay.

Maybe I am misunderstanding, but it seems to me, the Fre settings would be the frequency of pulses (or waves) and the FL would be for the power of the flow. So there should be a distinct difference from 1 to 20. But there really isn't.

Any thoughts or comments out there from owners of this product?

Should I just put these in my 220 and use "lesser" wave makers in this tank? (Again with this option, I don't want to blow all my corals around in my 220, lol).

TIA!
