Coral breeding in lab breakthrough

I'm not sure if similar or different process but @Thales is the man from the West Coast who does this sort of stuff. The expert and all around nice lad (never met but love his lazy reefer video and posts here).

As we progress, more and more doors open. No doubt that mimicking a natural cycle will bring on spawning. Water parameters must be spot on too. I reckon this lab uses piped in and out sea water.

yes its NSW and all the corals were taken from their nursey in the ocean, to the lab for spawning and then they will return the corals to the reef once its done.

and just to clarify, this is only a breakthrough in the sense that its the first time its happened with atlantic species, im pretty sure this has been done before in the pacific. but the atlantic reef track is in way worse condition
