Coral Collection store closed?

just read on one of the threads that the coral collection store is closed... and anything remaining the owner has (matt) he is running from a garage .. and the left stock is pretty bad.

can any fellow reefer who lives in the area confirm for me please?

I am concerned because i have orders placed with them for over 2 weeks of about 1500...
so if that is true - i need to start working with paypal to start a case and get my money back.

Please help - i would appreciate it.

I have heard the same thing. hate to say it, but I'd be glad if this were true. matt has been nothing short of unscrupulous dealing with myself and a lot of other reefers.

Any updates on this? I placed an order on May 9th, was told it would be 3 weeks due to the nems I had coming (no big deal). Tried following up today and no responses...

Yes I'm local and they closed. Honestly I never shopped there. The store was crappie at best inside. All corals always had algae growing on them and selection was terrible. Only thing decent were the nems.

They mention something about getting a new location on their Facebook. Today was my first follow up, but sounds like I'll have to end up filing a claim with PayPal in the coming days.

Had to file a claim for my money - I suggest you do the same. Till they are back up and ready to ship the same day you place the order - I wouldnt go back.
Horrible with communication and thats not good when you deal with individual orders worth over 6-700 - even 1000s.

Wouldnt rely on any "mentions" on facebook... or even their website... its easy to do - and quick way to scam.
When i asked the owner for a refund - he was straight forward about it... " I dont have money to refund you - file a claim with paypal if you want it back "

As an FYI regarding positive eBay feedback, I have had an eBay account for a stupid amount of time and only ever filed ONE negative feedback for an item not received. I had to go through a PayPal dispute to get my money back. The seller then disputed the negative feedback and had it removed. eBay's reasoning was that I couldn't leave negative feedback AND get my money back, even though I only received my money back due to PayPal's decision.
