Coral colony SIZE!!!! In inches!!!!!

A bunch of you are going crazy over the colony I posted above so here's a couple full tank shots. If you live near Vermont PM me and I'll give you some for free. No shipping, sorry.

There's no secret to these, just keep your water chemistry stable for 3-4 years and your tank will look like this too. I do not consider myself a particularly skilled reefer, just patient.

You don’t think you’re skilled? I’ve gone 1 year and only in the past few months not had swings in parameters.

I’m going to bump this thread however I unfortunately don’t have any HUGE colonies that are 14 inch plus, my largest is a ricordea rock at a good 1 foot with each polyp being I think 3-4 inch across.
I also have a 20+ head Duncan but he’s only about 4 inches.
I can’t find a measuring tape but will add a photo of both colonies with a measuring tape infront when I find one.

Also, I have a piece of information I’d love to know as I have an acropora frag that I now have as my target to grow into a large 4-6 inch colony (If not bigger to frag). That piece of information is:

How long have you had the colony and what size did you get it as (I.E. did you start it as a minuscule frag that most SPS will start as or was it already rather large).
So not sure if you meant the leather posted or the gorg posted. But here is the best pic of the gorg in 2016. It’s on the right in the background. One branch, 8-9” long?

thats beautiful too.
I meant them all haha, but now having a rough amount of time it took for you to get the colonies it'll help a ton in how long it'll take for me to grow this blue slimer!

Very nice!!! I’d say you’re a “skilled reefer” as well! If you don’t mind, let’s see your sump area as well. Thx
lol you won't think I'm skilled once you see this. There's a reason I don't have a build thread, I do not have a fraction of the organizational skills that other people on this forum have.

It's grown very organically without any planning. I keep it simple with just a skimmer, ATO, and calc reactor - the reactor is external and is what the hoses on the left run to.

Hey an obvious recipe for success! Way to go!

Hard to get a good size pic but its about 8" across. It came from my 120 teardown. It was 12"+ tall.
Soon to go into my 80 growout system that replaced the 120.
Measured pic is without my filter.
