We all have seen the fish compatibility chart telling us which fish will live together safely, and even which fish we can keep in a reef aquarium. The one thing I have not seen is a chart stating which corals can live in harmony with one another. I have some Pandora Palys that are starting to get overrun by the meteor showers. Yet I have have two blastomussa touching each other without problems. On another rock, my Pokerstar Monti is starting to get close to my Cherry Charms. Which one will win that battle?

Has anyone come up with a chart that lists which coral will overtake or kill another coral? It would be great to see to help know where to position things and maybe stay away from purchasing something that will overtake the tank.

Best rule of thumb I found is to try and keep things clustered to some small degree. Blastos can usually touch blastos, acan lords can touch each other, monti caps, etcetera. Otherwise a lot of it is trial and error and trying to give everything enough space.
