My wife surprised me with several new corals from the show. I don't know how or what to do besides acclimating them what's else do I need to do.

Start every coral on the bottom of the tank. Let them get acclimated to the new system. Then research the individual needs of each one. After a few days move them to their intended and research areas.

This is gonna depend on the individual coral, All corals in general need good lighting, flow, and proper parameters (Nitrate, phosphate, calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium)

Probably show your wife a good time... lucky fella.

Edit: also have her call my wife and tell her how to buy me corals

What is a dip?

A coral dip. Coral RX for example. It doesn't sound like you have any and the corals are home, so just get them into your tank. Like others have said, start them on the bottom and find out what they are and what they like.

Use a coral dip for future corals :)

Is it safe for them to stay bagged overnight until I get a coral rx or something like that? Or should I go ahead and set them in the tank (on the stands they came in) and treat later.

I've never dipped a coral. It depends on how picky you are about quarantine. I would acclimate and add to the tank.

Wife bought you corals by surprise?

I'd first start by...

My wife maybe looks at my tank 10mins a year... I swear she sees corals as lost opportunities to by herself shoes

.

If this may help anyone help me. This is my surprise.
