Coral Design and Planning

I’ve had my Reefer 300 up and running for a little over 6 months now, and it’s doing great! I‘vd put a few Zoa’s, mushrooms and a xenia all near the bottom of the tank.

Before I go any further and start branching into more challenging corals, I really want to have a loose design plan in mind. How do you go about that…or do you just aquire and place crossing your fingers and hoping for the best??

There's what I had in-mind, what I ended up placing (due to cost, placement constraints, etc.) and then what the fish and inverts decided to reorganize. Now, unless they upend something I just let nature take its course...
